We are thrilled to announce that The Little Dance Academy is launching new classes in Wimbledon at the beautiful South Park Gardens Community Room! Whether your little one dreams of pirouetting like a ballerina or dancing like a pop star, we have something for everyone.
LDA is coming to Richmond & Kew!
A special message from Miss Georgina ❤️
I hope you've all been enjoying our classes and the music we dance to! I thought I’d let you in on a little secret... some of the music we dance to is by my very talented Uncle, Guy Dearden.
Sadly, my uncle passed away recently after a brave battle with cancer, and I would love to celebrate the music that inspires our magical classes by putting on special classes dedicated to him and raise money for Brain Tumour Research.
Sunday 14th April: Celebrating the music of Guy Dearden
All proceeds from the classes will be donated to Brain Tumour Research.
11:20am - 11:55am: Parent & Me Ballet (ages 18months - 3yrs)
12:05pm - 12:40pm: Ballet (ages 3 -6yrs)
Location: Parsonage Lane Community Centre, Church Manor, Bishop's Stortford CM23 5PY
How to Book: Please kindly leave a donation via our Just Giving Page and pop me a message to reserve your space.
Fee: Pay what you can. Recommended donation = £8 (the usual cost of a class)
If you cannot make the classes but would like to donate you can do so via the just giving page ❤️
Guy & His Music
We dance to many of my Uncle’s tracks in class, everyone’s favourite “Good Toes point, clap, clap, clap... “ our tip toe walks, runs and even our marches. As I look around the room during class, all I can see is how happy his music makes our little dancers and I feel super proud to be using his music.
Dancing and music runs in the family. Whilst my Mum was at her dancing school in Oldham, it was her older brother (Uncle Guy) who accompanied her ballet classes at just 13 yrs! Guy is now renowned amongst dance teachers and many use his music all over the world.
I have been dancing to his music all of my life, from starting ballet at 3yrs at his wife’s dance school (he married a ballerina!), to teaching to it every day since I became a ballet teacher. Uncle Guy lives on through his music and it’s an honour to dance and share this with you at each class!
