Ruth Jay

Ruth started dancing aged three and took part in Ballet, Jazz and Scottish highland dancing. She grew up performing in various pantomimes, shows and competitions. Aged eighteen she won a scholarship at Preston Dance college on the ‘Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance’ course where she trained and became a fully qualified teacher.

Ruth has over ten years teaching experience and has an extensive portfolio of various teaching roles in London

In addition to preparing and successfully entering pupils for dance examinations over the years she has also produced, directed and choreographed several children's dance shows, all of which have been greatly received.

Ruth is also a mum to two young girls and understands more than ever the importance of nurturing, encouraging and supporting little humans to find their dancing feet. She is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher and the proud franchisee of LDA Walthamstow.
